HAVE LOVE, WILL TRAVEL

Encounters with modernity in Europe and Asia in recent years have navigated my photography practice entirely. I have more latterly turned my lens outward onto the world. I have documented not just people and cultural signifiers, but a more abstracted view. I have veered away from clichéd "power shots", striving to capture details and nuances- an awkward moment at Bangkok airport, a scratch of gratify in Berlin, the unfathomable eyes in the face of a Cambodian orphan- and have arranged these to convey the fluid and shifting effect of a retrospective memory. With this series of disarranged travel shots I have created a new and artificial narrative through the process of editing and arranging. The chronology is not liner, bit more poignantly how I remember it.
